Lady Mya the Picnic 11/28/06 20:54 My ears perked up, picnic? Dragon ride? OH YES this was my kind of adventure. Since NEITHER Sean nor Duncan were here it wasn’t like I could ask permission to go so therefore I couldn’t get in trouble for NOT asking. Yes indeedy there absolutely NO way for me to get in trouble with this little trip. Raiding food from the kitchen? That was one of my special talents! Soon we were climbing on the Dragon’s back with our food booty. Audra, in dragon form, took off slowly rising ever higher into the air soon the land was far below us. I reveled in the rush of air through my hair, I let go of the neck ridge I was holding onto spreading my arms wide, so this is what it was like to fly. Maybe we could design some type of wings to jump off the top the battlements with to glide to the ground. I would ask the Professor when we returned if he knew about flying. All too soon we were landing at the lake, I sighed regret at having my feet back on the ground. We still had the ride home to look forward to though. We cast off our clothes to go swimming, I loved being naked in the sun. In fact once while still at the King’s court I had donned a mask, streaking through the gardens causing all sorts of havoc with the uptight old ladies taking tea there. I think the King had suspicions that it was me but he had never been able to get any proof. Shortly after had been the slingshot episode at a royal banquet where I had hit him in the forehead with a pebble and I’d been banished here. I sighed again, I had lost my wild ways, I was SO well behaved now. Seeing Uni and Laura Jean standing on the banks just dabbling their toes, I ran jumping in the water next them sending a wave of water over them. I came up from under the water, “Well are you coming in now?” Later after eating, drinking some intoxicants and playing a rowdy game of hide-n-seek it was time to return to the Castle. Climbing back on to Audra’s dragon form clutching my dress, I felt a bit dizzy. Airborne once again I yelled to Audra to fly faster, this flight was even more thrilling than the first tiem er tmie er teim well #*@&@&#$))#_# TIME. Audra flew high then dove low, weaving in and out of trees, I shrieked with laughter hanging on tight with my legs, waving my hands in the air, feeling the pit of my stomach rise and fall with each dip and twist. I squinted looking at the ground, was that the Centurion with his patrol below us? Why yes it was, excitedly we all waved as Audra performed a ‘flyby’ of the patrol. I leaned over so far waving I lost my balance slipping until I was now upside down. WHAT GREAT FUN, we must do this more often, then I began to feel a little ill. Perhaps too much excitement is not good for the soul. The next thing I knew we were all laying on the ground in the courtyard. I think I’ll just rest here a moment, closing my eyes until I heard Jaxom say something about DISCIPLINE? Proper ladies do what? Disport? I didn’t even know what that word meant but Hey I bet the Professor did, Oh yeah I wanted to ask him about building wings too. I stood up wobbling unnoticed in through the kitchen door to find him.
