I blinked to clear my vision and worked to swallow the lump in my throat. There are times in my life that I'm hard put to find the right words...and this is one of them.

I cock my head and ask, "So..ya think I'm enough of a lady now, aye?" At their nods I continue. "And it matters not that I donna carry meself with the grace of Kristin...or have Red's wisdom...or can sew a stitch like Linda...or.."

"Yeah...or any of the rest," grins Sionna.

I look at the faces filled with assurance that surround me. My smile appears as my eyes meet each of the lady's changin' it into a grin by the time I've made full circle.

I fling my arms wide and yell, "Group hug!"

And as we come together, cackling like a gaggle of geese, I feel deeply warmed by the acceptance of me friends.
